Specialist Provision - At our Westfield Site

Our Specialist Provision is based at the Westfield Site for pupils aged 11-18, who, due to their complex learning needs, require specialist support to succeed academically and achieve their full personal potential. We offer pupils at this site a high-quality education which takes account of individual communication, interaction, emotional, sensory and learning differences.

Westfield is a special place, where our pupils, visitors and staff really enjoy spending their time. As a nurturing environment, we work hard to provide a calm, supportive, and purposeful school experience in which our pupils can thrive and be the very best that they can in all areas of their development.

Our class sizes are smaller than those at our main site, and pupils here continue to benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum, whilst accessing the specialist support needed to develop communication and independence.

Students follow the National Curriculum, including accredited learning options, whilst preparing for personal, social and economic independence beyond Beech Academy.

Our Specialist Provision, has the values of Ambition, Integrity, Inclusivity, Endeavour and Resilience at the centre of all that we do. We value and respect our pupils, and the valuable contribution they make to our school.

Our novel study approach is highly creative and motivating and re-engages reluctant learners and strengthens the whole learning experience.

Our specialist staff team at Westfield are skilled and experienced in working with children with complex needs and are committed to engage with and critically reflect on professional practice.
